BRIEF HISTORY

The 60s - The Beginning

Our story begins in 1965 when Miltiadis Matsios, an engineer by profession, laid the foundation for a workshop dedicated to producing steel boilers. Driven by passion and an innovative spirit, he designed and manufactured boilers operating on solid fuel and oil, as well as steam generators and heat exchangers for industrial applications.

In the beginning, the company started with only three employees, one of them being the founder himself. Most of the boilers were made largely by hand.

The 80s - Expansion

Sharing the same passion as their father, brothers Dionysios and Christodoulos Matsios continue the family tradition by taking over the company.

With a modern vision, they transformed the small workshop into a factory with an expanded production capacity. With an innovative spirit, they modernized the products and extended the range to the domestic sector. At the same time, they invested in modern equipment that increased productivity, allowing them to produce over 3,000 units per year.

The 90s - The First Step Towards Europe

Being one of the market leaders in this segment, the demand for THERMOSTAHL products grew. In the following years, the first products began to be exported to the Balkan countries.

The company invests in research and the design of new technologies, focusing on a new division dedicated to ECO products and green energy. Thus, they design and launch the first biomass boiler, which over time will become the most sought-after product of THERMOSTAHL.

In 1997, the company expanded internationally to Romania. Initially as a sales office, it later invested in acquiring land on which a new factory would be built in Bucharest. The new factory led to an increase in production capacity and the expansion of sales in Eastern Europe.

The 2000s - An International Brand

The 2000s are the years when THERMOSTAHL becomes one of the top manufacturers at the European level. Always loyal to its own principles, it adopts a modern strategy and strengthens its market position by expanding its product range both in the industrial and domestic sectors: pellet burners and boilers, solid fuel and biomass boilers, and solar systems.

The stated objective is to provide eco-friendly combustion technologies, high-efficiency products with low emissions, that keep up with modern digital technology. To this end, the company inaugurates its own testing, measurement, and training laboratory.

As a top manufacturer, THERMOSTAHL participates in international exhibitions, gets certified with the ISO 9001 quality management system by the prestigious TÜV Thüringen organization, and certifies its products according to the new European ECODESIGN Directives.

The 2010s - The story continues

Currently, the company operates as a complete group of companies, active in the Central and South-Eastern European markets, producing over 10,000 units per year.
