Technical specifications & project description
Partner: FLAMING HEAT
Project: Hydroponic glass greenhouse with an area of 10.000 square meters
Product: INDUSTRIAL PELLET 1500
Installed power: 3.000kW
Fuel: sunflower pellets
Fuel storage system: large capacity external silo, with automatic auger feeding system and level sensor
Installation: Radiant heating through steel pipe, divided into three zones: soil, plant and defrost, automated by individual temperature control.
Project requirements: Construction of a greenhouse that will have a state-of-the-art, ultra-automated technology for hydroponic tomato cultivation. The project consists of heating the cultivation area of 10.000 square meters using a system that is as automated as possible without the need for constant human intervention.
Solution offered by THERMOSTAHL:
To meet the client's requirements, Thermostahl assisted from the design phase of the building and the installation, provided the hydraulic diagram, the necessary equipment, the automatic fuel storage and supply system, as well as their installation.
The variant proposed by us was the installation of two industrial boilers operating on biomass of 1.500kW each. In order to minimize human intervention on the boilers, we chose to offer the client two boilers that had as accessories an automatic biomass ignition system, a safety group with digital monitoring, a pneumatic heat exchanger cleaning system, an automatic ash extraction system and an Internet control and monitoring module.
In addition, it designed, delivered and installed a fully automated system for fuel storage and supply, with the aim of providing high autonomy and fully automated operation.
Considering that this project was a large one, THERMOSTAHL was involved from the design phase of the Heating system, supplying all the equipment necessary for the thermal point: pumping and mixing groups, all the fittings for connections, safety and monitoring equipment and flue gas exhaust systems. The most important objective achieved was the integration of a system as automated as possible without the need for constant human intervention.
